STRONG RELATIONSHIPS

At UUU, we believe our relationships with everyone involved, from the owner all the way down to the laborer, are stronger and more lasting when we treat each other with dignity and respect. We recognize that no one knows everything, so we build stronger relationships by teaching, learning, and lifting each other up along the way. Collectively, this is our approach to every job we do and every person we work with.

THE TEAM

Sam De La Rosa
President

Sam.D@Urbanug.com

I’ve been in underground utility construction since December 26, 2013, starting as a laborer and working my way up through roles including pipelayer, operator, foreman, safety manager, loss control director, insurance manager, superintendent, and general superintendent. Each position taught me valuable lessons about operations, leadership, and risk management.

Now, as the president of this company, I bring firsthand experience from every level of the job site and office. I understand the importance of what happens in the field as well as behind closed doors—and I stay actively involved in both. My goal is to apply everything I’ve learned, avoid the mistakes I’ve seen, and create a company culture that brings out the best in our people.

Jorge Castilla
Field Superintendent
Jorge.C@Urbanug.com

I'm a Field Superintendent with about seven years of experience in utility construction. I focus on project management, making sure work stays on schedule and runs efficiently. I stay in close communication with on-site foremen and the general contractor's superintendent to keep everything on track.

Jesse Medina
Project Manager
Jesse.M@Urbanug.com

I began working in construction in 2015 with a strong focus on gaining knowledge and hands-on experience. Over the years, I’ve learned the full start-up process and become well-versed in the permitting requirements for all types of installation services.

One of my greatest strengths is communication. Through meetings and email correspondence, I’ve developed the ability to address and resolve potential issues early, keeping projects on track.

For the past six years, I’ve worked closely with owners and general contractors as a Project Manager. This role has taught me the value of integrity, teamwork, and effective leadership.

Tony Cortes
Head Estimator
Tony.C@Urbanug.com

In my 40 plus years of service in the underground utilities field I have served in several capacities, including field inspector, project manager and head estimator. My experience includes managing 13 Water & Sewer Systems where I oversaw over 50 employees including office staff, equipment, operators, Pipe Laborers, & Common Laborers. I have also successfully estimated a variety of sized jobs that include equipment, materials, concrete, and asphalt repairs for underground ground utilities, ranging from a few thousand to multi-million dollar projects.

I have a deep knowledge of all facets of the business, and bring these skills to an excellent team of leaders and workers here at UUU.

WHO WE HIRE

At UUU, our goal is to employ hard-working, competent individuals who take pride in a job well done. Experience and knowledge from past construction projects is a great thing, but we also cater to those who have no experience, but are seeking an opportunity to learn and grow a construction career. We remember when we started at square one, that’s why UUU is creating a solid foundation where employees can be part of our work culture and thrive personally and professionally.

Let’s talk about your next project.
